From August 7th to 11th, 2011, our company participated in the Third Baotou China Rare Earth Industry Forum, which was organized by Baotou Municipal Government, Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Chinese Society of Rare Earths, and undertook by Baotou Rare Earth Hi- and New-Tech Zone Management Committee. Gan Yong, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chairman of the Chinese Society of Rare Earths, Chen Qingquan and Yi Baolian, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and more than three hundreds of experts and scholars, had discussed on the theme “the development and win-win of Chinese rare earth hydrogen storage materials industrial chain”. A common view, how to extend the rare earth industrial chain, and develop top products, was achieved at last.

A expert conference was held, and experts and scholars took part in it, and published opinions. Yi Baolian said high additional value products of rare earth industry should be developed, and the latest knowledge be mastered, to extended and developed the hydrogen storage materials. Chen Qingquan pointed out the importance of technology and talents, and our nation should foster the local talents and the core technology. Zhang Peilong, general manager of our company, made a statement about the contrast of nickel-metal battery, nickel-cadmium battery, and lithium-ion battery. He pointed out, as the higher performance and lower cost of hydrogen storage materials, the nickel-metal batteries would still occupy a important location on the battery market.
